Accessibility that just works
For people living with a collagen connective tissue disorder, a wheelchair may be essential for mobility and independence. Yet many locations, events and activities are still not automatically accessible.
That can change.
With Freedom on Wheels network we make wheelchair accessibility visible and encourage organisations to consider accessibility from the very beginning. Not as an extra, but as a natural part of participation.
Inclusivity
Accessibility does not have to be complicated. It often starts with simply looking at what someone needs to participate independently and on equal terms.
An accessible location or activity creates space for:
- freedom and independence
- equal participation
- moving around without unnecessary barriers
Small practical changes can make a big difference.

With the Freedom on Wheels sticker, organisations and locations can show that they take accessibility seriously.
Not a warning sticker, but a recognisable sign that says:
You are welcome here.
